Thread: Unfair Urbanist Club Achievement

    Unfair Urbanist Club Achievement

I saw that some people like me - without a Facebook, Twitter or whatever else account - have complained about the 50 friends limit.

However, my issue is not as much with the amount of friends, as with the fact that i will never be able to achieve the fourth star in the Urbanist Club Achievement (which require having 75 friends). I started playing this game for a while, and i enjoy it, and i'm really looking forward to see all achievements completed.

I think it's highly unfair that to be able to get an achievement you NEED to have a social media account!

If there's a technical problem with adding more in-game friends, that's ok with me, but in this case, the fourth star should be the highest limit ANY player can reach, regardless of their social media presence!

    Please consider this!

I don't disagree with your point, but I'm curious why you don't set up a phony Facebook account for the game. That is what I did (although I admit I have a real account as well). But I hate those game posts so I keep my real account and my game account completely separate. I even set up a gmail account using my Facebook game name (Starshine String, if you are curious). It is wonderful when I have to reinstall the game, as long as I set up the Facebook app on my phone and login using my game name before I start Township, the game picks up my town name and level without problems.

I welcome new Facebook friends, send your request to Starshine String and be sure to PM me here

I set up a phony account a month ago and only have 1 friend from it. I finally gave in and set one up. I just don't have time to get on it. Which reminds me I now have 3000 emails I have to delete from my account because haven't been on there in about a month.

I also did not want to get Facebook but I set up an account just for the game. I quickly rounded up 25 or more friends (people I don't know). I chose them mostly because they had photos of cats as their Avatar. Most of them have worked out to be great friends and help out a lot. I was able to reach the 75 friend achievement. I have not monitored the Facebook account since because I don't care about anything on it except the fact that I got the extra friends.

Achievement is totally unfair, but still it pressures you into making a gaming Facebook account, which is great, because once you have over 200 friends from Facebook you get the crates in planes and trains filled almost instantly. Most players who hang out in Township fan groups on fb are hyper active high level players. You should totally use fb to make the game easier.

Hi Katrina. Have you reached your limit of 50 in-game friends? If so, unfortunately, you have to link your town to Facebook to get more. If you aren't on Facebook you can't get this achievement. If you don't have 50 friends already and you are adding more but they aren't included in your total, you should make a report to customer service through your game. And if it's Facebook friends that aren't showing up, are you sure that they play the game on the same platform as you (ie iOS/Kindle/Android, or Mac, or Windows), or have you reached your limit of Facebook friends - not exactly sure what that limit is because it seems to vary from person to person and day to day, but I think it's supposed to be around 200?

According to the Free Dictionary an urbanist is either a specialist in city planning or a member of an order of Franciscan nuns. I'm guessing Playrix mean the first option

I have a Facebook account, I had one before playing Township. I still cannot get enough friends for the 4th star. We should be allowed to add more people from in the game as friends.

Every time I see a news story about Facebook being investigated for anti-trust violations and working to maintain a monopoly position, I keep wondering how long it will be before anyone mentions their monopoly position in gaming. No other social media platform has games bribing players to open accounts for them.
