My Barn is crippled by TOOLS! πŸ› πŸ”§πŸ”¨β›πŸͺ“πŸ¦πŸ¦“πŸ¦πŸ¦’πŸ˜

My barn is overflowing with tools. My capacity is 856 and my tools are growing daily. Yet, I never have enough tools to complete a building. Once I just deleted all tools. It was great being able to store real barn stuff. Then I realized I couldn’t increase my population because I couldn’t build the needed building. My zoo has shut down because I need so many building materials. Soon, my barn will just house tools. So, any suggestions as to what I can do to get the needed materials, but to free up my barn. πŸ™

I work on one thing at a time, either a land expansion, a community building, a zoo enclosure, or the barn expansion. sell off all the other tools. takes patience, but saves on frustration. Prioritize!

Play for fun. It's only a game.

Trade building materials for tools you need for the next community building/expansion/zoo via the tool exchange. Only exchange the mats you don’t need. If you need 100 slabs, 30 saws, and 30 jackhammers-> exchange bricks and glass to acquire the jackhammers and saws and sell off the rest. Sell off the extra bricks and glass if you wish at this point. As the above poster mentioned, work on one building or expansion at a time lol

    1. Stop building zoo enclosures and community buildings for now...
    2. Make a list of the zoo enclosures (ZE) and community buildings (CB) you have waiting for materials and/or tools and which ones they require.
    3. Note which ZE and CB you are closest to completing. If it is a ZE, continue to step 4A. If it is a CB, continue to step 4B.

4A. ZEs require two building materials, but no tools. Whatever the third building material is, exchange it and only it any time you can in the tool exchange for the tools you need to complete the CB identified in step 3. Dump all the other tool exchange offers. If you have an abundance of one material but not enough of the second you can begin to exchange that one as well as long as you don't dip below the ZE need for completion. Continue until you have enough of the two materials to complete the ZE. Then go to Step 4B.

4B. CBs require one material and 2 tools. Whatever the two materials are that you don't need, exchange them and only them for the 2 tools required for the CB until you have all the tools necessary to complete the CB. During this time you will be building up the one material you need for the CB. Then go to step 4A.

I built too many ZEs and CBs all at once and this strategy has kept my barn in check quite well while I knock off one at a time switching between ZE and CB. Good luck!

    Brilliant strategy, just-a-minute.
It’s been said many times by long time players, it isn’t wise to build more than one of anything at a time.

and so, another suggestion is to read the Best Tips for New Players-thread (even if you're not completely new anymore)

There just ain’t room for any more stuff all takes too long
I’m at the point I play a couple of hours then have to stop for a day maybe 2 to restock
Boring nearly ready to pack it in
Every time you think you have enough stock to fill the rack in comes the train and demolishes everything
Now asking for ridiculous amounts of stuff. I try to keep a minimum of 40 of each crop
Not much help when the train takes 36 in I go and you have to wait 3 or 4 hours for a crop to grow before you can even plant the next stock you need
Pay enough to play at least they could do it make it interesting to play
    Need more fields

I'm at level 52 now and have just started experiencing the larger quantities of crops on my train orders. I agree this is really stupid and frustrating as there's no skill in growing 40 peppers for the train, and it sucks to have to change my game play because the train makes me to use up most of my farm plots for crops, just to throw in those buckets. I suspect you're higher level than me, so I don't look forward to having this become an increasing problem.

Sorry guys, but it never gets any easier.
The one thing everyone needs is extra barn space, no matter how big it is.
The numbers needed get higher as you level up.
You will find your gameplay needs to change to keep up, and the management of everything changes as well as you go.
