Thread: Your ideas for new Museum collections

  1. #21
What great ideas! I especially love your idea of traveling through space and time and including the tardis. Unfortunately due to copyright I’m not sure we’d ever get that or the dragons for that matter. We could still have a dragons collection though with the dragons of myth and legend around the world such as the standard European dragon, Chinese dragon, wyvren, sea dragon, and maybe the original township dragon. Perhaps another we could get would be tools for body art such as ancient Egyptian or Thai needles, Maori chisel, Polynesian rake needles, Japanese Tebori Needles, Modern Electro Magnetic Machine.

impressive work, the collection for collections

will you copy it to FB, Ruud? I hope you and the other "providers" won't be too disappointed, if it's ignored...

And just a hint, pls: you need to use the real name Händel for the composer, with the umlaut. W/o it, they might not find him, esp. cos the word Handel does exist (it's f.e. German for trading).

Danke für den Umlaut. Es macht die Liste bis ins letzte Detail 'perfect'.

The large interview wasn't the right way to request for input on new collections.
And I thought they mentioned that there will be a new post some day dedicated to this topic.

This list will posted then and of course I will mention it has been created by our group Forummers.

Today the call for ideas for new artifacts has been posted on Facebook.
Each option will pass through the Devs and implementation of the ideas will be the reward.
This list, compiled by us Forummers with care and enthusiasm, is now also posted overthere.
Thank you for thinking along and Fingers crossed on the happy ending.

I've been reading some of the comments on the FB Post and there's some pretty good ideas over there. Adding all the good ideas from this post they should have plenty of new artifacts to chose from.

How about magical creatures from legends around the world, like pixies, trolls, gremlins. There are no doubt similar creatures in stories from the non-western lore to add. I'm thinking of figurines depicting such creatures, not actual skulls or bones.

Another idea would be fictional animal hybrids. From the US, we can contribute the jackalope (half jack rabbit, half antelope).

I see there is one called legends and myths already, but those seem to be objects from a story rather than creatures.

How about a new category/tab maybe some existing items/groups might move, but making more rewards is the goal ( it'll be up to developers how fast the new ones are added.) Maybe an organization system like some museums use that have different buildings for different subjects.

Maybe think of a new organization system outline style.

    A. Tools
    1. Woodworking hand tools
    2. Woodworking battery hand tools.
    3. Woodworking stationary tools.
    4. Electrician
    5. Drafting
    6. ( Other professions)
    B. Games
    1. Strategy Board games
    2. Chance board games
    3. ...
    4. Card games
    5. ....
