Dumb questions about mining task

See, I'm not too sure but how many tools would be sufficient for 135?

Also, some people have suggested mining beforehand so there are clays to pick up later. My question is do the clay drop down to next screen even if there is something blocking them, like stone or earth?

The amount of tools needed varies, as the mines resources are random.

No anything you do not mine will disappear as the window scrolls up
If you are looking for clay you can only mine down til the first clay is at the top of the window.

Hmm, I have 380 picks, 37 dynamite and 21 tnt.

Hopefully, that's more than enough to extract 20 clay.

I think you should definitely be able to do the clay task with those tools. Just for information, the clay task usually (in my experience) uses more tools than a normal mining task, so if you have a choice between mine and clay, dump the clay (unless you're looking for tokens to buy decorations)
