Underwater tunnel?

I may be remembering wrong, but I thought the first time I played the ghost event, we actually went to the castle to open the event. I guess it's dumb, but I thought that was cooler.

I found the 2017 event in the wiki. There was also a more elaborate story. We were looking for blueprints needed to build the School of Magic that the witch dropped as she was flying over the castle. I guess they needed to drop that plot line for year 2 because so many players already had it built.

I'm not sure that we ever actually got to go to the island, maybe once & not since they officially opened the event center. I'm pretty sure it's been the ghost hunting game for awhile. They do make the island spooky looking for the holiday though & there's little ghosts poking around I think. Just make sure you're stocked up on sugar, sweets, bakery & dairy items, those are the ghostie's favorites!

last year when it said explore the castle it was really held at the event center . . . unless there is a portal that transfers us from the event center to the castle-after all how else would you get there right?

Good question; I don't remember. Nor the year. I just remembered some sort of satisfaction that the island finally had some purpose, but it might have been caused also or mainly by the island's purple "decoration", which I "translated" to playing there - inside the castle, or rather, its garden! finding stuff for the ghosties In any case, the ghosts were sooo cute.

Thanks I can't decipher that completely:
The materials only raise by one axe for the third expansion?
And coins and population raise a bit for each of the three, but pop. is still below our current number, is that right?
