Yes, those sculptures are as high as humans
After the festival the ice will be melted. I guess the wooden ones are for sale afterwards

The owner of the sculpture garden where the timber and Sand sculptures are exhibited has a long struggle with the municipality of Barneveld. The subject is the zoning plan and what is or is not part of it. The Night Watch in Zand, for example, was the subject of improper use of agricultural land and 'the Anatomy lesson' of Rembrandt (placed in a shed) was no longer visible to the public. Ultimately, after a number of court cases, the municipality appears to be open to adaptation of the zoning plan. The owner has suggested donating the wooden sculpture group from the Night Watch to the municipality in order to give them a permanent place somewhere in Barneveld (perhaps on a roundabout). Not known if that will actually happen.

More information about the Ice sculpture festival Zwolle you can find here. Choose English or German language if you like.
For the moment we have no plans to visit Zwolle this year but photos and videos online look good!

And now more Carving wooden sculptures starting with something familiar: "talking about sheep"... and pigs and deers...

On the wooden shoes is a postcard printed with the message: "Groeten uit.... * {greetings from....} followed with a place name so I guess they stand for villages and cities in the twelve Dutch provinces.

An Octopus with an Elephant head? Artistic freedom I guess just like this bench with Pheasants on it.

More interesting sculptures are these ones: Tigers and the Bremen street musicians were we have talked about in an earlier thread.

And this tree house is also very nice to see with the animals around the tree trunk.

    Very impressive, too, indeed
Are we still in the sculpture garden in Barneveld?
not sure which animals are at the treehouse...

and just for completeness and to avoid confusion:
Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten are originally donkey
, dog, cat, cock in Grimm's tale
The position is the same, see pics in Wikipedia and on the homepage of the town of Bremen:

This animal tower differs from the original street musicians "only on a few points". *g*
    Elephant, Taurus, Lion, Boar, Baboon.
And yes we are still in the garden were the Sand sculpture festival is organized.
The animals at the three house are indeed hard to recognize. There are mainly birds carved out of the wood.
