How to find factories?

I bought a furniture factory, set it on my land and a day later I cannot find it. Is there a way to locate it?

Yes - click on the yellow hat, then the factory tab, then click on the furniture factory. I will move to the centre of your screen.

It's likely still a construction site at this point, though, not a finished factory. That doesn't mean Lyndie's method won't work - just be sure you know what you're expecting to see.

Another tip is to hide all of the buildings. If you've placed the factory immediately behind another building, you won't see it until its completion. So, you can use the edit mode to hide all buildings and look for the 2x2 squares marked with a factory/production sign. This symbol is used for all factories and animals.
