Township Shortcuts on Android Devices

Howdy Townshippers!

We’d like to share the feature available on Android devices with OS version 7.1+
Kindly note that it works only if you downloaded the game from Google Play store 🕵

Have you ever wanted to perform a specific action within the game, from outside the game? Like going directly to Train Station without having to open the game first and then moving around your town? Or collecting produced goods exactly from the needed factory instead of tapping wrong ones?
That’s what Shortcuts developed by Android for all apps are for! 🔥

How do I use Shortcuts?

Method #1:
Long tap Township icon — you’ll see a list with three shortcuts. They are related to three most recent events happened in the game while you were out. E.g. you have a new friend request, or someone has sent you a clover 🙋🍀

Method #2:
You can pin shortcuts you use most often right to your home screen for even quicker access 📌
To do that:

1. long tap Township icon
2. drag-and-drop the needed shortcut

PLEASE NOTE: a shortcut might be removed or greyed out, but rest assured that it’s not a glitch. This may happen in three cases:

• you reinstalled the game
• you changed the language in the game
• you cleared the game’s data in Settings > Apps & Notifications

You can easily restore your shortcuts by deleting the inactive ones and then repeating the steps from Method #2 👆

What Shortcuts does Township currently have?

The pinned shortcuts allow you to get into the needed location directly from your home screen. The shortcuts from the list you see after a long tap on the game’s icon are related to the in-game features.

🐔 Farms

• farm goods are ready to collect
• time to feed the animals

🚂 Train Station

• unload your trains
• someone helped you fill the railcar

🛫 Airport

• the plane is back in town
• the plane is about to take off
• someone helped you fill the crate

👋 Friends

• you have a new friend request

☘ House of Luck

• you have enough clovers to play

👑 Clovers

• you have received new clovers

🏭 Factory

• collect the produced items

🏆 Regatta

• the race starts soon
• your task is running out of time

⛵ Yacht Club

• a new collection will appear promptly

🔔 Market

• you can hire the dealer for free or there’s a special offer

⚒ Mine

• the treasury is a few steps away

🤝 Requests

• you can send a new product request to your Co-op chat

🚁 Orders

• a new helicopter order is available

Guess these will be useful with my next tablet. My Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 has 7.0 and will not likely be upgraded to 7.1.

Well I am glad to find out that this is not a second April Fools item!
Long tapping the TS icon shows me indeed three ingame options.

And when I select 'Market' the game opens on its regular way but the first I see is the Market place and next step is it is opening itself!
Very nice option during the period of renting Raja!

What a great thing you created Playrix! Thank you for this!
This is far more better then giving us the countless new buttons on our screens where many other people had asked for on the Forum's wishlist.

So for any Androider with an older version there has something new to wish for.
And I hope Playrix will roll out this new feature for everyone using an other system ASAP so the can enjoy it too!

Hi Rocky Playrix cannot do something the OS do not provide for them so it is not only up to them. This new feature was introduced in Android 7,1. That is why older version do not have access to the new feature.

I have no idea if this option is available for devs on iOS.

I was replying to your wish for Playrix introducing them ASAP on the other platforms. If the other OS do not include that option/tool for the devs, Playrix can't do a thing about it.
