The first Chickens we founds we real 'Barnevelder' Chickens at a coop near the Trainstation.
The group of chickens have been donated to the municipality by the local poultry association.
They are accompanied by two man-sized chicken statues.

We also found some of the same statutes further down the shopping streets.

During the walk through the shopping streets I noticed something. There were several painted chicken figurines in almost every shop window. I went to an optician store to ask about it. The statuettes were painted by students. Their school has asked the shopkeepers association whether the statuettes could be placed in the shop windows. The shopping street thus became a large exhibition space and the children could proudly show where 'their artwork' is!

And on the square in front of the town hall no big chicken but a giant golden egg as a work of art.
I took a picture of the chicken at the petting zoo

”I can hear you; but I won't.
Some look for trouble while others don't.
There's a thousand reasons I should go about my day,
And ignore your whispers which I wish would go away, oh”

And above the stores, metal wires were strung on which hung round plates displaying different types of chicken.
