New Zoo, new strategy - Dealer

    Hi All,

So before the update, I've used the dealer mostly to get the hot & expensive zoo items to earn the fame. Since now there's no fame anymore, what will be the good strategy to use the dealer? Yes, the airplane, but even if I fill everything on the planes, still I can hire the dealer for something. Trains I fill from my production easily. Now I am thinking to buy ore from dealer to quickly level up the trains, what do you think?

That's what I always did, Animus, while ignoring the zoo. Upgrading was always a better fit with my priorities.

Yes. Buying ore is what I did too.

An alternative while regatta is on is to buy mining tools for the mining tasks. Keep asking til you get the max of 15 pick axes, 5 dynamite/ TNT. Don’t accept less.
You will end up with less ore, but get coins, gems etc from the mining

Another useful one perhaps later though is jewelery. You can sell to the mafia guy for cash. Always get 3 of the item. This is only really useful if you are playing a lot and getting every hour, while paying 72 for 10 days. The more costly items like diadem etc require a lot of ore to make, so works out more efficient to buy from dealer than produce your own. Quicker too.
Don’t give that greedy mafia guy ingots though lol. Just give him the ones with Tcash for jewelry only

I no longer need the dealer, so, I’m saving 72 t-cash every 10 days.

I no longer “need” him either for L&P 2. But I still Hire him... and not just from a socialist perpsective to ensure he has a job so can feed his family. Though obviously that’s important lol

The reason is that I believe I can generate more Tcash thru the dealer than it costs to buy over those 10 days.

As an example the normal best vfm package as you say effectively costs 7.2 Tcash per day

If you log in to buy jewellery with the dealer 8 times in a day and max 3 pieces per time you could buy say 24 pieces of jewelry.

A jewelery order usually gives you 1 or 2 Tcash and usually requires 1 or 2 items. (Reject the ones asking for ingots unless you’ve a massive xs )
So let’s say you get on average an expected value of 1.5 Tcash for 1.5 items. (Actual outcomes differ and you get a feel for this but it’s a simple assumption for an example like this)

Then if you can fill mafia orders 6 times a day you make 9 Tcash on 9 items. So
    1) your income from mafia orders of 9 has exceeded your cost of 7.2
    2) you bought 24 items and sold only 9 so will have jewelers stock of 15. Stock value is around 1.5 each too, valued at mafia man’s replacement cost lol and you get this back over time

The Tcash profit of course costs you in coins to be able to do in the first place. It may cost 5,000+ coins for 3 expensive jewelry. But you get to trade coins for Tcash profit

There’s a fair bit more to it than this, and some wider implications too. Such a s
    - how often you can get the mafia guy. This is very regular on a high level town where you can do say 10 orders a minute and just keep going. Haven’t really counted how many times I get him in a day but I do know I don’t have much jewelery in stock. May be more difficult on a small town, plus you probably want ingots for upgrades instead anyway. I do for L&P 3
    - for the feather earrings it might be better to buy 13 silver ore and produce. Also getting xp for production
    - you have the dealer to do other things if Ever wanted as before
    - when doing helicopter tasks you don’t lose one of the 9 green orders cos you’ve no jewelerry. You fill it and get another, instead of having to reject and wait 30 mins
    Etc etc

That’s the basics, but overall I still get more than it costs me to hire the dealer for 7.2 a day.

Yes we’ve lost the benefit of buying hot products, but to be honest when you get to a certain level you no longer needed the coins or zoo likes anyway and the xp wasn’t massive. So in my case I was rarely buying hot products. Though I did at one stage.

Thanks for all the answers. I agree I should be focusing on the city rather than the zoo Now zoo is a request-based timekiller, so even better.
Yes sometimes I ask for jewellery and sell to mafia guy, and never give him ingots
