It's not that unusual to not be able to visit other towns that have not updated yet. Same thing happened for the past few updates, and given that the update contains major changes, not unexpected. For a more detailed explanation, see this thread.

Samen at my co-op. About 50% are using iOS, the rest are using Android. Mening that just 50% is able to help exact other. Very frustating when we dry to teach the golden league😞

Oh nooooo! You can’t see everyone’s animals now. I used to like seeing what people had called them.

I still think the shops should have remained interactive, you could make coins & it was a way of relieving barn pressure. Not much compensation for all that hard work getting them upgraded.
