How do I buy expansion?

Hello!
I’m really new and having fun starting. Question is...How do I buy an expansion so I can build more houses, etc? I can’t seem to find it anywhere!

You click on a square showing a dollar sign. There will be a window telling you what you need to buy it. You need tools, coins, and a minimum population. If you have everything you need, go for it. It takes a little while to clear the land.

Available parcels of land will be adjacent to ones you already have.
