Request for tutorial: How to use the redesigning tool

    Dear moderators,

Is it possible to produce a video tutorial on how to use the redesigning tool in the edit mode of our townships?

Personally, I experience it as a great tool and was planning to make a discription for it for those Townies that are less experienced with it.
But a video could give more clearance then the thousand words I could spend on it.

Thanks in advance for the effort to make such a tutorial. My fellow players will appreciate it very much!

    Kind regards
    Ruud

    Video?

    Love me a video...

What is it exactly you think needs to be shown? I mean, I've been doing it so long now it's second nature, and I guess it's hard for me to think back to how a new user might struggle...

Thanks Nevada, for your quick response.
The inspiration for my request came from a post I found wandering through the forum. I intended to make a description myself, but before starting to write it I realized a tutorial would be a better way to show how it works.

This is the post that took my attention. For me the tool also has 'no secrets'.

I realize making tutorials is not as easy as one two three. So maybe me making a discription, as in my first plan, is a better and easier way.

Ruud, I also think a video would be best. It took me a while to figure out the redesigning tool and could have used it sooner.

    Thank you for your approval.
Just wondering if we are the only ones on this who struggled with it.

In the meantime I gonna work on a description.

I've never used it at all, to be honest. It looks complicated.

    Really?
I don't know why this surprises me...

Are we talking about the temporary storage "quick edit" mode? Or am I completely lost?

    Dear Veganville,

With all new things that look complicated at first sight, someones help and mostly practicing with it can make it's use easier, even can make you wonder: "Why didn't I used this before?" That is my goal for this thread.
But with respect, if your way of redesigning works for you, then there is nothing said

    Happy Towning

    Ditto!

And even if it's not that complicated once someone got started, I think it would be nice to be able to watch a tutorial first.

Double ditto. I don't like newfangled things. (Says the person with all the newly-acquired forum buttons - be very afraid, lol)
