If you take a regatta task of sending 8 ships to the fish island, after the last 4 are sent, can you discharge any of those to send to another island instead? If so, do you lose the task as completed? Just curious.

As soon as you send the second set of four ships to fisherman's island the task is complete. You do not have to wait for them to come back.
