CO-OPS AND REGATTA DISCUSSIONS FAQ & GUIDE

PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

This guide will answer the most Frequently Asked Questions for this sub-forum and guide you to the most popular topics and threads; essentially this is a "directory" for this sub-forum to help reduce the number of sticky threads needed at the top.

Please Note:

• Most of the interaction here is with other players; these are player-moderated forums. Playrix hosts these forums and you may see a Playrix admin pop in to make announcements or occasionally respond to a thread.
• If you are having problems with the game, click the "What's New?" tab on the upper left to see what everyone is currently talking about. If there is a sudden widespread problem, there will definitely be some discussion there. If that doesn't help, try using the search function on the upper right to see if anyone has had a similar problem. If that doesn't work, visit the Township Troubles & Solutions sub-forum and/or Contact Township Support.

Co-ops and Regatta 101
A Regatta is a weekly race between different teams of players (called Co-ops). Co-ops earn points by completing different Tasks such as growing crops, filling orders for helicopters/trains/planes, producing goods in factories, collecting goods from the island, etc. There are multiple Leagues and when Co-ops perform well in a Regatta, they are promoted to the next League. Once they reach the Golden League, Co-ops are entered in the Leaderboards where they can compare their performance to Co-ops all over the world. Rewards are varied; reward chests are unlocked at certain point intervals in the Regatta and some chests can only be unlocked in higher Regattas. Co-ops receive Position Bonuses for finishing in the top 3 of a Regatta.

Cheating/Suspected Cheating
Playrix takes a hard stance against cheating and as a player you have agreed to play according to their Fair Play policy. If you wonder if you are out of bounds or that someone else is violating this policy, please consider all of the following information, including the links provided.

• The only place to fairly purchase Township cash is in the game.
• If you suspect someone of cheating, be sure that you understand that such an accusation is very serious; be sure that you understand what constitutes cheating before you report it. DO NOT NAME NAMES OF SUSPECTED CHEATERS IN THIS FORUM. You will need to contact Township support.
• Unexpected regatta points are often mistaken for "cheating" when players can gain advantages due to certain strategies and/or the use of Township cash that perfectly abide by the Fair Play policy.

Sometimes the cheating filters flag players who do not cheat. We do not know why they do this and we will probably never be told as that would give cheaters an advantage to try to get around these filters. There are things you can do to protect your town in the case of an unfair ban and make it easier for yourself and Support to clear your account if you were not in violation of their policies. Co-op Management
There are so many different kinds of Co-ops with different goals and guidelines. Some are more social, others competitive. Some are small, others max out the 30 person limit. Groups/How Co-ops Are Paired Off
According to Playrix, every race in each League is made up of Co-ops with the same amount of members who have their Participate in Regatta status on (noted as Racing/Not Racing of the Co-op Building).

Points Missing/Incorrectly Calculated
If you believe your points are incorrectly calculated, double-check that the math is incorrect first. Scroll past the Task Journal on the Tasks tab and look at the list of your completed tasks. Does the task show as complete? If not, you may have missed the time limit on the task. Review the count and points on your completed tasks and compare that with what it shows in your Co-op Statistics. If you notice a disparity in any of this, take screenshots and contact Support.

The greying out of a task unfortunately happens quite often. It's because of the server not syncing correctly with one's game. The workaround is to always double-check (upon opening Township) that the task you selected is on the side of your main game screen. If it's not there, DO NOT open the regatta taskboard screen (that's often the immediate impulse, but fight it). Force-close and restart your game (that kicks the server to reset and correct the time). It should then reappear on the side of your main game screen.

If you are suddenly missing points, it may be because a member’s Town was flagged as cheating; cheating Towns will have their points removed from the Co-op total and be banned from the game. See topics for Cheating and Unfairly Banned.

Region
A Co-op's region is designated by the Leaders in the Co-op settings. At the time of writing this, the Regatta Region option only applies to the Regional Leaderboards which shows the top Co-ops for each region. (If you change your Co-op's region, it will not take effect until the next season). For more information, see the links below:

Regatta Strategy

Rewards
As your Co-op gains points in a Regatta, it unlocks reward chests that are opened when the race is finished. The Co-ops who finish in the top 3 of the regatta receive additional "position bonus" prizes. When you accept the rewards, they will automatically be placed in your Barn (even if your Barn is full, it will surpass the limit to hold your rewards).

Seasons & the Yacht Club
Each Season has 4 Regattas (4 weeks) with its own theme which is applied in the decor offers at the Yacht Club and in the Seasonal Tasks which vary season to season. During the season, you earn Tokens for each task you complete and can save them up to spend at the Yacht Club on seasonal decor and other offers (like boosters, gems, and supplies). Tokens can be saved (up to 600) and any remaining will roll over to the next Season; they will also stay with you if you change Co-ops. The Leaderboard shows the top Co-ops for the Season and resets at the start of the next Season. Non-seasonal Regattas occur for one week between Seasons and still have reward chests but no tokens or leaderboard competition.

Sharing with Co-op Members
Co-op Chat has a yellow "Request Products" button that you can use every 3 hours to request different goods from your Co-op members. Be sure to help fill requests for fellow Co-op members. You may even get a clover!

Tasks and Points
Each task is worth a set number of points, the highest of which is 135. The maximum number of tasks is different for each league. In addition to that maximum, players may purchase an "extra task" for 10 T-Cash.
