    You made me laugh, Sandy.

I sold off a whole bunch after I had finally cleared all land. Then with this latest update, I now see a couple more dollar signs but my population is too low to buy them. But to be honest, I'm not concerned about it as I am enjoying having lots more space so I'm not planning on rebuilding just for a few more land expansions.

So this was the mistake and i start a new thread for this, witch seems to be the second one....what can i do, sometimes i am so stupid. Now come back to jewelery store, i was thinking that i would rather use ores to produce ingots and upgrade factories, than produce earrings. And sometimes to get the total quantity of ores could take days....probably less than 53 h.....the only source for ores is the mine and the market.
Sorry Andromeda, didn’t mean to put you in the corner, lol, and you needn’t feel ashamed at all! Navigating the forum can be tricky at first, I’m sure I needed the occasional pointer myself. I have the writing equivalent of “resting b**ch-face” unfortunately.. stuff often comes out sounding much crosser than I really am. That’s why i’d be a terrible Moderator. Thankfully, many people here have much sunnier manners than I do

There is another option to selling off the houses. And it is quite fun to do and one can get real good at it.
That would be hiding the little blighters.

This I have done, and my population is maxed out.

Oh Cobalt, I love my small cottages and houses. They remind me of the older beach communities in Carmel, Monterey, Seaside, Aptos, Santa Cruz and the outlying areas where strawberries, and artichokes, and raspberries, and broccoli are grown and visible from the highways.

Yes, there is urban city blight in and around my corner of the world, but none of it is charming, nor evokes such a feeling of relaxation as these older ocean view community sections do. I would sell ALL my horrendous reformatory looking high rises in a heart beat if it didn’t decimate the frikken population requirements!

And there are SO MANY of them!!!.. I didn't unlock all houses yet, and i'm horrified of what possible layout i could find to fit >6 of the same type of huge tall building.. I would prefer having ~2-3 of the same type, and more variety. It would be easier to hide the ones i don't like, and the chances that all of them would be "horrendous" would be lower..

No kidding, dreadnought - Far, far too many of them. I always dream that one day Playrix will have a huge housing bubble burst, where you can sell off the ugly stuff and use the proceeds as a down payment for more attractive stuff.

Many have done some soothing town layouts that are highlighted by the small houses, one of whom is you. And I sometimes wish my town was more holistic and simple like these. But it is not. I like to think of my town as a sprawling socialistic affair with state housing in the form of lifeless apartment blocks. The only relief for the downtrodden masses is the town amusement areas and insane decor. They spend as much time outdoors as possible.
