Can I send a message to a specific friend/player within the game

I would like to send a message to a particular game friend. I thought I could do it by setting up a co-op but that is open to Facebook friends. My particular friends are a little boy named Jorene and a a guy in the military named Woody. I don't know if they read this forum. In most of the other games I play that have game friends, I am able to send messages to them. Is there something I am missing here or is it not possible to send messages? I am new to this forum but not to playrix and have looked in the FAQ before posting. Thank you in advance for your responses and hopefully your help.

If that person is on the forum you can send them a private message. If not you can't.
