My suggestion is if a plane/train requests 77 carrots we should be able to add to the crate dropping more in as they are harvested as a lot of players don't have room for 77 carrots... Especially now...

No you don't have to give your ships an ingot... I have been doing these tasks continuously cause I can knock em over in less 12 hours.. Never add an ingot
