I have the barn upgrade left in my ongoing tasks. I’m a few hammers away. Do the ongoing tasks disappear like the daily tasks, after a week? Or are they truly ongoing?

The ongoing tasks can be worked until the event ends. We will get more each week, but the unfinished ones remain.

I really dislike that one of the 100 point tasks is to use 10 boosters. No, I'm not going to do that. I rarely use those and like to use them for things that will help me in an event (but not this event; that's a waste). Hopefully that's not going to set me back too much. I'm already worried I won't get my barn upgrade before the event ends. Hopefully all the supplies will come in before it ends.

How about kill two birds with one stone: favourable voyage booster, usually unloved, sent with platinum ingots to guarantee treasure chest.

Not sure if it counts as a third bird :) I added efficient smelting so I can make those ingots faster.

I usually play without boosters, learning patience :). So I had about 12 of each of Favorable Voyage, Efficient Smelting, and Active Cooperation, each runs for 2 days. I'll give it a try. However, if I were low on boosters (or gems to buy them with) and low on ingots (or wish to put them to better use upgrading things) I'd forgo the 125 points. There's plenty of points available to get all the rewards.

Yea, that's me (low on stuff). However the favorable voyage, ingot idea is pretty good, if I had more to spare.

there's plenty of other tasks you can easily miss a few. i have finished the event already with 2 weeks to go &i spent zero t-cash

I looked and I am only 250 points away from having completed all the rewards.
So if there is something like the booster task I just don't want to do. Not gonna do it.

I've now collected all of rewards. Is there any point to finishing any more tasks?

I'm not, I trying to get my land expansion. My one friend said to tap on the screen where I wanted it to go..... That didn't work. I checked everywhere, nothing, even in farming etc, customer support stinks so I guess I'll never get it.

The land expansion coupon will only be visible when you have an uncleared expansion that you want to clear. When you'll tap on it, in the window that shows you the necessary tools, population requirement and cost, you'll see that you can expand for free, by using that coupon.

To anyone concerned about being able to finish if you don't do all the tasks, I collected the last reward today. Unless there are more to be added (this is my first time playing) I will have 11ish more days of daily tasks that I could have completed if needed. I also had several of the longer ones left. So, it appears TS gives you more than enough opportunities to get through the entire collection of rewards.

Now, if anyone can tell me whether there is any point to continuing to play, I'd appreciate it. Is there something else coming? More "perks" that will build up? Otherwise, it appears I'm finished.
Thoroughly enjoyed it, and very much appreciate the goodies.

I saw this yesterday and I was like, how did you get done, there are still 6 more tasks in upcoming, plus the 4 I have still have ongoing!! Then I went and looked and I only had to get 20 more pts before I was done, too!!! Did the 2 easiest dailies this morning. Sucks that the challenge is over, I really didnt remember that happened last time, but Im sure it did!

No, no, no, no, no, and please no.

I am glad I don't need to waste clovers just to finish the ongoing House of Luck task. I am glad I don't need to waste booster coupons or gems just for the use booster task points. I am glad I don't need to waste ingots just for the Send Boats With Ingots points. And I am really glad I don't need to try to finish any of the new Ongoing Tasks showing up next week. Last time the final week tasks were some of the worst of the whole event, especially considering they were the only ones that had to be done in just a week.

So, you can take that completely fake and rigged wheel and shove it off a cliff somewhere rather than ruin this event by trying to make us feel like everything must be done. I think the current set up is really nice.

I'm hoping I'll get done, but I must say I truly hate the tasks that deal with the house of luck. They always are a problem. I'm almost done with the 100 helps task, but its totally annoying that the task for playing hol 35 times was this week when I played a bunch of them just before that task was released (because I hit 50 and had to or lose some). And now I've been working on the 35 one, and todays duuuuuuuuumb task is to play 3 times. Yea, I'll get right on those 15 visits, just after I help my kids with their science, math, english and history....I wouldn't be one bit surprised to see that task show up 4 more times before this event's over. If the intention is to make a player hate a feature they previously had no opinion about, they have succeeded.

And (just in case!), before you suggest to add more, I suggest to read Mayfield's reply above your post. ;) Last time there were quite a few players, who were thankful in the end for having had enough time for the event, cos they couldn't play as often.

I do not see any rewards left in the Proff Exp reward tab but I keep doing tasks. Why are the rewards gone when the event is still going on.

Everyone and I mean everyone should be able to finish the event tasks before the event ends. I do wish there was a last HUGE reward for those who complete all of the weekly tasks on time though..

You can skip some tasks and still get all the rewards, your goal is to get 1300 points and get all the rewards, not finish all the tasks. This means you can skip a couple of tasks that you cannot do and gamble that the ones you cannot see yet will contain enough that you can do to get all the rewards.

I had forgotten this aspect of the game from the last time it was on and I did every task until I got to 1300 and got all the rewards. I still have 4 ongoing tasks left from this week and the 6 that will be released next week and I already have every reward, so I'm not doing any more experiment tasks, I'm focusing on the regatta.

I think it's the other way round :) The Town Hall is the "mailbox" to which the letters go. It can hold 100 letters, and every surplus from there goes to the HOL, which can hold 50 clovers. Some, like Ernie's in the morning IIRC (wasn't there a list here somewhere??), go to the HOL directly, so Zealous was right to hurry to the HOL and play there, once it gets close to 50.
So, and in general, I only have to watch the HOL filling up, not (so much) the Town Hall.

I know the picture of the HOL comes up when you tap the mailbox, but because it says GO NOW under it, I apparently interpreted those clovers to be in the mailbox and I "take" them to the HOL, then refill the box from the ones stored in the Town Hall. Either way, you wouldnt need to hurry to spend them once you got to 50 because you can save 100 more beyond that, so you wouldnt lose any until you got to 150, right?

Not exactly, see this post. Letters and Clovers are two separate things and you can certainly lose clovers even if you have less than 100 letters.

In my experiance you do not have to play at HOL until you have 100 letters AND 50 clovers. You play your 50 clovers and then go back to town hall & concert 50 MORE letters into clovers. This will leave 50 letter slots vacant which can then be filled with NEW letters waiting to be converted

As I explained in the post I linked to previously, that is not exactly right. Try this experiment. Play once in the HOL. Go to the town hall and hit "Collect" to refill your 50 clovers. You will now have less than 100 letters. Now have one of your co-op mates request some product in the chat and you fill it. If you get a clover (not guaranteed but this is one way to get clovers other than via letters) that clover will be lost. You will get a message that "drifts upwards" on your main screen that says "no room for the clover".

Similarly, every midnight Ernie pops up a window congratulating you for making it to another day and gives you a reward. Sometimes that reward is a clover (I've gotten 3 at once from Ernie). If adding that clover (or 3) exceeds 50 you will see the same message and anything over 50 will be lost. Both of these happen regardless of how many letters you have in the town hall.

As I said, Letters and Clovers are two separate things have have their own rules for how you get them and how many of each you can have.

This is interesting. I didn't understand this correctly, as I thought you would lose the letter and consequently the clover if it went over 50. Good to know. Wish I'd known before I used mine thinking I would lose them.

To the Town Hall belongs the "100" + it will give its surplus to the HOL (converting letters to clovers), once it has 100 letters.
But the HOL will simply loose clovers when going over 50. So playing the HOL around 45 clovers THERE is good.

thank you. I read up on it after seeing this discussion to make sure I had it straight. I didn't understand it correctly earlier so I collected my letters at 50 so I wouldn't lose them, and then, of course, played some of them to try and complete the 25 point task, and then didn't have enough to do the daily one that said play 3 times (I visited enough people, which was a challenge, but didn't get letters back in time to complete the task). Very irritating. But it's all good now, and now I've learned something so that's good too. :)

It seems strange that the Professor Vernon prize line maxed out at 1300 points.

I got that a day or 2 after the third round of the Ongoing tasks became a available.

I am at almost 1600, with 6 days of 30 Daily points and 225 Ongoing points left to get.

But, if the game does not add on to the prize line, what is the point of continuing with Professor Vernon after you reach the max prize.
