They come in really handy when working crate tasis, I found. I hate missing out on a help crate for lack of stuff.
Heck, you could even surprise someone and use one to fill those 9 bagel help request at the zoo!

I try to keep about 12 of each item on hand so usually not a big problem. I keep coupons for desperate times such as āI woke up forgetting to prep items for my plane and need 249 corn!!ā
for me the zoo cards I have gained thus far were useful. I got a new animal so that's good.
I do recall last time around that when I earned a sticker to use in the coop, the game offered me something else in replacement, since I don't have the coop restored. Yes, it would be nice to have that happen whenever someone wins those zoo cards and already has them all.
All I know is I am not one bit interested in more building materials. Totally glad to not have that reward.
Has anyone had the task to upgrade their barn yet? I remember that was one of the ongoing tasks last time and I want to know if I should try to save my upgrade to complete it..
There are 18 "unrevealed" tasks, 6 each week for the remaining 3 weeks. We have no idea what those tasks might be. Yes, there was a task to upgrade your barn last November (worth 100 points I think). Some people complained that it was not "doable" in the time allotted. However, in anticipation of it making a return this time many people are deferring their upgrade until later, myself included.
The current "Gold Pass" rewards include "perks" to temporarily expand the barn up to an additional 20% which might alleviate the need to expand your barn immediately. However, those perks are of no help to someone who hasn't purchased the "Gold Pass".
In the end it is really up to you on how desperate (or not) you are for more barn space.
Thanks cdosr, I'm not desperate as of now since I'm not saving building materials.. I guess I'll just resist the urge to click the glowing green upgrade button for a while longer lol
In preparation for this event, I also had enough material to upgrade the Barn.
But after seeing the first week's assignments, the temptation was bigger than the available space in my Barn ...
If I knew then what I know now....

Iām pretty sure I upgraded my barn before I got the free upgrade last Verne visit. My tool amounts remained the same after the āfreeā upgrade. Or am I interpreting the upgrade concerns incorrectly?
Couple of points:
How do they get this "foreknowledge"? I haven't seen anything on the official FB sites nor here. Where does this come from and why do we believe it is accurate (it probably is).
The "open 15 gold balloons" can be done without T-Cash, the free one each day for 2 weeks (plus 1). I'm wondering if this info comes from Playrix since the text says you can open 5 per day (which is true) but it seems to encourage spending the 3T each to get the other 4.
The last time we had this event, it was fun, exciting and interesting. This time, the devs decided to choke us off in the first round by forcing us to dig up enough ore to make a whopping 35 ingots, right out the gate. Since it takes five nuggets for each ingot, that's 175 bloody nuggets you have to dig for, using up ALL your mining materials. I had HUNDREDS of each tool in stock, too. They don't bother to replenish them at a decent rate. It's a lot like having 30 products on the menu that ALL require limes, but you can't get a lime in this game to save your life. I say it all the time... a game is meant to be FUN. It shouldn't feel like a second flipping JOB, and it shouldn't cost the players a fortune to participate. SMH. If you want to create an event with multiple layers, fine... But make the needed tools accessible for us, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU GOUGED ME $5 FOR THE PRIVILEGED ACCESS THAT THE "GOLD PASS" items. 35 ingots, my aching backside. It's a deterrent, and nothing more.
I hear you re limes-am always running out of them, lobster too.
Regarding 'bloody' nuggets, did you miss the ore in the mine and hit your toe instead? :D
I buy most of my ore from Raja as my trains are very miserly with tools.
Personally liked the ingots task-am still upgrading factories.
You didn't really need to smelt 35 ingots in week one. We have until the end of the event to finish the Ongoing tasks. We have been getting a lot of mining related tasks in the daily tasks. So far, I've already gotten use 5 dynamite, use 10 picks, and use 3 tnt. Maybe their idea was we would accumulate enough ore from all of those tasks to do the smelting.
Well after almost 3 years of playing without ever spending real money, I bought the Gold Pass. And promptly lost the video man. It's been several hours and he is really gone. But at least I get to play with a big barn for a few weeks and I will get the barn expansion. I guess that is what persuaded me to go for gold in the end.
As for the mining tasks being resource greedy... I haven't done a single one. And I don't plan to. You can easily do all the other tasks and still get all the rewards! I'm saving all my mining tools for the next Ore Galore. Hoping it pops up on the horizon soon!
Well, for me, the new ongoing task to "help 100 players" is going to take til the end of the event.
My first check to see who I can help had 1 individual... Ernie. I had nothing he needed and the items he needed were longer production times in factories I have going for items I need.
My second check to see who I can help had 3 individuals... Ernie and 2 friends. I was able to help 1 of the friends.
My third check to see who I can help had 6 individuals... Ernie and 5 friends. I was able to help 4 times.
So it appears that as it did the last time, I will not be getting the people to help that I normally do. I normally have over 10 individuals to help whenever I check no matter what time of the day.
Given that it's a task for everyone in the world, I can't imagine that requests for help will go unfulfilled for very long. At least not in the first few days. Once the initial rush is over and lots of people have their 100 helps things should return to "normal" (whatever that is :) )
For me it's the 15 "Gold Balloons". I refuse to spend 3T to open one so it'll take 15 days of opening just the free one, once per day. Thankfully there's 22 days to do it :)
So I started this at about 7am CST in the US. I've help 23 people. My wife has helped 22. I have had 5 people almost every time I've checked not sure on hers.
Really don't like the Golden Ballons :( but it's been decided if we pop 1 extra each day we should make it
Just noticed this if that is true then that takes care of the balloon popping!Quote:

No,...I didn't hit my toe... I realize you were joking, but I have never seen ore for sale in the market. Are you referring to the picks, dynamite and explosives? I had to burn through my stash to get the required number of nuggets (ore). I think it's BEE ESS that they force you to use all your supplies and don't replenish.
Heās referring to buying raja or using the dealer coupons to buy ore. Personally, the bar task was the easiest for me since I still have thousands of each ore type from the previous event. It sucks that this event doesnāt have the āgenerous marketā perk though.. It was the only thing, along with 2x coins from helicopters, that I was hoping for ;( meh.. events still somewhat contributing to my town but not like the last event lol
that ingot one was nicely timed for me as I was already making them. I have been making the practice of hiring Raji for buying ore, so I wait for a sale and do that when one comes up.
The neighbor visiting one I'm a little nervous about because I have a friends list of people who either don't ask for things at all or only ask for huge orders from the zoo. Right now there are a bunch of people posting requests so I'm trying to take advantage of the surplus and help as many as I can while there's a lot of requests, since I feel sure it will slow down. Hopefully I'll get it done before the event's over.
The one that annoys me the most is the zoo one for 25 points. It's pretty unreasoanble, in my opinion, to expect me to dump that many resources into my zoo, considering you have to complete the entire order for it to count. I guess I'm glad it's only 25 since I won't be as hurt if I skip it.
In general, I'm enjoying this event. The rewards aren't super exciting. But I do like making progress in my town and I've made a lot of progress since the event started. The rewards aren't exciting, but they have been really helpful.
Just FYI, you don't have to complete both halves of the order yourself, you can ask for help like you normally would and the completed order still counts. The description is poorly worded and it does make it seem that you have to fill both baskets without any outside help but that is not the case.
I also want to chime in on the 25 point 'Fill Zoo Basket' task. I don't have a zoo. Never did it. The game knows this because the rewards for card decks are replaced with a bit of t-cash. So it knows I have no zoo yet I now have a zoo task I can never complete. Frustrating...
Thanks. I actually did think of this, but I feel guilty requesting help for huge orders at the zoo, and all the orders are huge. I like to balance my help requests so some are easy and some help me out more (I'm always appreciative when someone fills my plum jam car since I probably don't have any plums, or I'd have the jam) I'll have to think on it as I really dislike everything about the way the zoo works, so I don't even like to mess with it. I'm thinking I can probably skip that one since I seem to be keeping on top of the rest of the tasks. Last time I skipped several, including at least 1 100 point one and still completed it. This time I haven't skipped any yet so I feel like I have room.
Well, the good news is that last time there were more points available during the experiments to get all the rewards than were needed. There's no reason to believe that it won't be the same this time as well. So you can still get all the stuff even if you don't do the 25 point zoo task.
The thing is I am not getting the people to help and so far I've only been able to give help 13 times. Last time they had this was the same way. I never got more than 3 or 4 people showing up needing help which was way lower than my normal amount. After the last event was over, the number of players that showed up on the tab jumped up exponentially.
I know it will get done but like I said in my original post, it will take me a long time to do.
But I am going to hoard my HOL clovers "just in case" there is a task using them like last time.
Of course the size and activity of your co-op also makes a difference as you'd have more requests to fill as you'll see them in the chat rather than wait for them to show up on the "people -> !" tab. So if you're co-op is small or they don't tend to ask for help on everything it will take you a while.
Not in a coop. Never built it.
Also, never been interested in it.
That's just the way I play my game. But it is the pits that the algorithms for the number of people that show up in the people tab goes down when this event is on. IMO something like that should not change just because of an event.
I doubt it is the program that changed - I think it is the players. They are way more attentive when something like this event task is on (or when they have a regatta task for plane crates, f.e.). I see less requests also, but I also came very often to the tab just to see how the thing was filled, cos the other was simply faster than I. It's not the same view as if the system didn't update yet (which sometimes happens, when I didn't look there for a while)
I also think that many Coops communicate more for this task, and give "forewarning" etc. All the more those who are used to this kind of mutual help and consideration.
yes I agree about the coop communications. I also don't play that part of this game, but I've played others with features like it and they seem to take care of their own. Since the coop is a main feature of this game it's even more pronounced. It took me a bit, but I've gathered a few neighbors who play like me, so when these type of things come along we all post requests every time we have an opportunity.
I feel much the same, but have approached the big zoo tadk by trying to finish 3 or 4 a day. I have used my three helps each day, but only some of them are 9 bread type requests. The other ones I just ask for 1 or 2 of something I'd rather not make but could fill if I had to.
Today, I got a 3 zoo daily task as well. Those daily 3 zoo tasks are the main reason I haven't made much special effort to get the ongoing zoo task finished in a hurry.
I agree that players are way more attentive now, especially to their co-op mates. I buy TC once a month...except the piggy, I buy and fill it multiple times when its running...and I dont have many demands on it at my stage of the game, so I have a lot of TC to spend. I decided to have fun with the help experiment so I only use TC to fill requests for crates and zoo baskets I see. When I spend 100, I will slow that down to just helping my co-op, but for now, its immensely fun to fill peoples requests quickly and I have seen new names pop up to fill my requests, so thats fun, too. I know everybody cant or wont do this, Im just using it as an example of why people arent seeing as many to fill. Pretty sure Im not the only one having this fun. :D
Has anyone gotten the Rich Fields (30% time off) booster yet from the event rewards (gold pass)? Did we get this one last time?
Anyone know how this works with the regular lab crop boosters, Super Harvest (2xcrops) and the purple Rich Fields (40% time off)?
If we use both Rich Fields together do we get 70% time off?
It works with Super Harvest. I think it was mentioned as working with Rich Fields earlier in this thread.
Or maybe it was in the thread on Advanced Agriculture?
From reports I've seen on the 20% experiment booster, the other "Rich Fields" (purple 40% booster) does work but it is not additive. Instead it worked out to be 52% off instead of 60% If it were additive. Math worked as if it was "base time * .8 * .6" that is deduct 20% (the .8) and then deduct 40% off that (the .6).
Example was a strawberry's base of 1 hour became 28.8 minutes. If they were additive (60%) it would have been 24 minutes.
So, if the 30% booster follows suit it would be 58% reduction and a strawberry would take 25.2 minutes
That did occur to me that it really should be multiplied, if using both was even posdible.

Of course.
Well, it's been helping me accumulate things to sell when the barn shrinks back down to normal. I'll need to get rid of >1000 items, easy peasy š
